THE TREMENDOUS response to the openings of bookings for Tata Nano car from all sections of society has encouraged Tata Motors to go a step further.

Tata Motors has opened a corporate booking procedure through which bulk bookings can be placed in the name of the company. This will enable the company to book Nano cars for their employees.

According to a press release by the company, the process for corporate booking specifies-multiple bookings made in the name of corporate/companies, for example: Infosys can book 200 cars under its company name as the first applicant, but in 200 different forms. Tata Motors will consider all the forms.

However, the number specified is an example and there was no clear direction on restriction of numbers on forms submitted per company.

The applications would be subject to multiple allotment procedure and could be allotted multiple Nanos based on random selection. The proof of corporate/company should be made available to Tata representatives ‘if required’ at the time of delivery.

The company has also extended the facility of multiple bookings in an individual name. This system would increase the probability of allotment.

The Nano bookings for first phase opened on April 9, 2009, and are expected to close on April 25, 2009. The delivery of first phase of allotment will be made after 60 days of closure of bookings. Nano is famed as the world’s cheapest car for its rupees one lakh manufacturer’s price.
