Tata Nano cars spotted doing test rounds in Brazil

Several Tata Nano cars have been spotted doing test rounds around Fiat’s largest car production plant at Betim, Brazil. According to Marlos Vidal in Brazil, a prototype of Nano is taking test drives. However, he did not confirm the specifications of the car doing test rounds. He commented “… this model can be small or Indian.” The report from a Brazilian blog reports reads as “Fiat Already Has a Nano Factory in Betim”.

Earlier Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Group, had stated in an interview to Italian newspaper La Stampa that Tata Motors and Fiat are seriously considering launching Tata Nano in South American markets. This statement fell like a bomb for the Brazilian press who received the news with an uproar. Sources in Brazil have already confirmed that Fiat intends to launch a mini-model in Brazil. It is much expected that this model may be “the little Indian.” Tata Motors has already showcased the Nano Europa model and Fiat may be marketing the same model in Brazil. However, it still remains to be seen what will be the final outcome!
