Tata wants to deliver 60,000 Nano cars to customers by July 2010

Tata Motors has confirmed bookings for more than 1 lakh Tata Nano cars. The company has started delivering the models to the lucky winners.

However, they are not yet manufacturing this small car model in mass numbers as the plant dedicated to it is not functional yet.

The company is however aiming to deliver up to 60,000 units of the Nano model by July next year.
Tata said that they are aiming to complete the delivery of all the confirmed bookings by the end of 2010.

Tata said: “In the meantime, the Nano is being produced in other plant facilities so as to enable around 50,000-60,000 cars to be available to customers over the next 12 months until the main new facility in Gujarat comes on line.”

Tata Nano is currently being manufactured at their plant in Pantnagar.
